The Canadair Sabre
|
The Canadair CL-13 Sabre was a licensed-built version of the North American F-86 Sabre. The early Mk.2 and Mk.4 versions were nearly identical to their North American Aviation counterparts, while the later Mk.5 and Mk.6 aircraft were equipped with the more powerful Canadian-built Orenda engine. Canadair Sabres served with the Air Forces of Canada, Germany, and Great Britain, and second-hand aircraft (mostly Mk.4) were later transferred or sold to Greece, Turkey, Italy, Pakistan, Columbia, Yugoslavia and Honduras.
