Once a Hercules 'goes tactical' it is up to the Loadmaster and Assistant to keep an eye out for threats from the rear of the aircraft. If a threat is detected by ECM or sharp eyes, the information has to be quickly and accurately passed on to the Flight Crew so appropriate action can be taken.
