Rob St George

Rob St. George

Robert St George, originally from Labrador, now resides in British Columbia where the winters are not so harsh!

Rob left Labrador to attended le Collège militaire royal du Saint Jean, QC, then Royal Military College in Kingston, ON and eventually met his wife while at the former Canadian Forces Air Navigation School in Winnipeg, MB.

Rob has not been formally trained as an artist but became skilled with commercial sign software (CorelDraw) after the military and decided to combine his knowledge of vector art (infinitely scalable), with his lifelong love of aviation! In addition to Canadian aviation vinyl decals, Rob has also learned to create unique, scalable large side profiles of iconic Canadian aircraft. For some reason, while most side profiles of aircraft face left, Rob likes to face his artwork to the right - for no particular reason other than, it feels like the natural direction to him!

One of his passions in Canadian aviation art is to remember the past, celebrate the present and bring beautiful airplanes into the lives of the younger, future generations. To this end, Rob loves to create personalized aircraft for young aviation fans and put their name under the cockpit and their imagined nose art at the pointy end of the aircraft! Rob also has a booth at the Chilliwack Flight Fest every year now where he sometimes has help from Royal Canadian Air Cadets or his wife & children, and he offers up many aircraft decals and prints for the many aviation lovers at this free annual event!

Rob also sells his work to Canadian Aviation Museums across Canada and to the public at large through his website www.YoDecal.com
