In Memoriam: Charles Kadin (1935 - 2013)
Charles was a founding member of the CAAA and a past President. Following a successful career of fifty years in the graphic arts, Charles began a second career pursuing his lifelong interest in aviation history and art. Since 1986 his work has been exhibited and published in Canada and the USA. A member of the American Society of Aviation Artists since a chance meeting with Keith Ferris in the early 1980's, Charles was extremely proud to have been elected a Fellow Member of ASAA in April 2012. One of the original founders of the CAAA, Charles was serving as its president when the CAAA was awarded the prestigious "Belt of Orion" award by the Canadian Aviation Historical Society in 2002.
Charles' gallery is maintained on this site in honour of his contributions to the CAAA. His energy, his willingness to contribute to the group and share his knowledge of art, his thoughtfulness and his humour are all greatly missed.
